History of Accella Tyre Fill Systems

In May 2013, market leaders Arnco and Pathway Polymers joined forces with Accella Performance Materials, backed by Arsenal Capital Partners. Accella Performance Materials is a group of chemical and material companies that combines the best of its people, technology, and manufacturing processes to drive innovation and sustainable solutions for our customers.

In September 2014, Zeus Tyre Fill was acquired, officially bringing three market leaders under one roof to form Accella Tyre Fill Systems. Zeus has a proud 30-year history of market-leading puncture protection products and tyre sealants based on a more effective, completely new and environmentally friendly 3-component material. Cleaner, greener, and faster.

The new Accella Tyre Fill Systems name covers four main product areas: TyrFil, TLC, ReSeal, and Carefree Tire. These product names will continue to operate as individual brands, under the Accella Tyre Fill Systems umbrella. All of our product brands are formulated to improve safety and increase productivity in demanding off-the-road (OTR) applications where operating equipment reliability is critical.

Leading the global market, Accella Tyre Fill Systems’ flatproofing products can be found in over 62 countries and serves three continents with local manufacturing. With more than 500 years of combined experience, no other tyre flatproofing company in the industry can match our level of innovation, product offering, or technical support.

History of TyrFil Flatproofing

In 1971, Pathway Polymers invented TyrFil, the world’s first polyurethane tyre fill material intended to flatproof tyres.

Since then, TyrFil has not only eliminated flat tyres in the most hazardous industries, but has also been specifically formulated to promote safety by significantly reducing the transmission of G-Force vibrations. Excessive G-force vibrations are the leading cause of Whole Body Vibration (WBV). Nearly seven million workers are exposed to WBV which can cause fatigue, back pain, and spinal damage.

As the global leader, Accella Tyre Fill Systems will continuously invest in R&D to develop innovative products that not only flatproof tyres but promote operator safety and sustainability.
